Stayed at a hotel in a stunning location, surrounded by an ancient protective wall and only a short stroll to the centre of the World Heritage-listed area. Enjoyed the tasty food in the restaurant and appreciated the helpful staff assisting with tours and transport arrangements.

The tiny en suite bathroom left little space to move and caused some inconvenience.

Authenticity and charm were the best aspects of this historic hotel. The rustic rooms were steeped in character and featured immaculate white bedding on unusually large, firm mattresses. We absolutely loved being within walking distance of many historical sites in the city, which added to the romantic atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating, which was much appreciated.

The facilities were quite basic and some may find the lack of modern amenities such as a gym or spa a disadvantage. The bathrooms could have been better as the wet room design meant that the water flow was not well contained and there was a lot of spillage onto the cold stone floors. we enjoyed our stay as it provided a unique and interesting experience.

We loved the quiet and authentic character of this courtyard hotel complex, located just a short stroll away from the main tourist spot in this World Heritage listed area within the city walls. The staff were helpful, providing transportation assistance and recommendations for local attractions, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. the on-site breakfast was great and the hotel had parking available.
